New glossy photos do not seem to run through the scanner well, but older do fine. Mostly need for older, so no concerns. I did notice white lines like others commented on. Read instructions and cleaned the scanner and they stopped. Happy with purchase. Saved me hours at the scanner at *shudder* WalMart.
